This interactive event will dive deeper into destigmatising the case for reparations, bringing together thought leaders and civil society representatives to discuss the insights from our newly commissioned paper.
The event will feature a keynote address by Professor Gary Younge (Journalist, Author, Broadcaster, and Editor-at-large for The Guardian), followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion with Natalie Sharples (Health Poverty Action), Clemmie James (Health Poverty Action), Lavinya Stennett (The Black Curriculum) and Professor Kehinde Andrews (Birmingham City University), chaired by Joseph Harker (Senior Editor, The Guardian). There will be chance to ask questions at an audience Q&A, as well as sharing your own perspectives and ideas in breakout sessions with smaller discussion groups.
The event will take place on Monday 13 October from 12.30-17.00 in the Benjamin Lay Room, Friends House (173-177 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ). Free registration via Eventbrite is required.
