About Us

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Charity Coordinator to support and lead our ambitious programme. We are a small charity with big ideas based in Enfield looking for Project Managers to deliver our programme of projects, events and activities.

Enfield Caribbean Association (ECA) was established in 1986. We work to eliminate racial discrimination and for an inclusive, fair, and equal community, in which people of African- Caribbean origin can develop their full potential as visible, positive contributors and participants in the life of the Borough of Enfield.

ECA is managed by a board of six trustees and two associate trustees, who volunteer their time to manage all aspects of the charity, including its strategic priorities. The board members meet regularly to plan our wide range of activities and events. Last year, we were successful in securing funding from £114,000 to ensure the sustainability of our organisations and the various events and activities we support for 18 months (April 2025-September 2026)

As part of our growth, we are looking for two Senior Charity Coordinators who can work together to manage the end-to-end delivery of our projects, implement our strategic priorities, and shape the operational foundation of our organisation.

Role Overview

As Senior Charity coordinator, you will have an exciting cross functional role. This will involve project managing events such as Black History Month, Windrush Celebration in June 2026 (see the list below), coordinating the volunteers for activities, organising the luncheon club admin, managing payments and securing funds for projects through fundraising.

You will be responsible for coordinating and executing all phases of project delivery—from initial project planning to implementation through to documentation of lessons learned for future activities. You will also manage relationships with our volunteers, patrons and partners and optimise internal operational processes. Your insights will shape our strategic direction, especially around fine tuning our existing programme of activities and developing new ones that support the needs of the African Caribbean community in the borough and beyond.

Throughout the year ECA organise a number of cultural and community events:

  • ECA’s 40th anniversary event
  • Windrush Day Celebration in June.

  • Monthly Black Film Club screenings at the Dugdale Arts Centre
  • In 2022 ECA launched its Book, documentary film and mobile exhibition entitled: Windrush Voices – 20 Stories of Determination and Triumph, at Millfield Theatre. ECA has since sold approximately 1000 copies of the book, the film documentary has been shown in a variety of cinemas and venues. The exhibition displayed across the borough, and other locations in London.
  • In 2023, ECA launched an Illustrated Children’s book called Windrush Wonders -Tales of Travels and Triumph which was distributed across primary schools and libraries in the borough. ECA launched a free Windrush Teaching Resources for Secondary Students on TES website.
  • Trustee delegates are members of Enfield Stop and Search Monitoring Group meeting (CMG). This police monitoring group meet every 6 weeks to review the local police stop and search practices.
  • We also organise regular social events for members and volunteers, as well as fundraising events e.g. Quiz Nights.

In the near future we would like to:
