Black Equity Organisation receives funding from the Aviva Foundation

Black Equity Organisation (BEO) have received funding from the Aviva Foundation to deliver a national, transformational project specifically focused on empowering young Black women (aged 18-30) to achieve financial resilience and prosperity. This work is crucial as currently 63% of Black households have no savings, compared to 33% of White households.

The programmes combine national research, policy advocacy, and grassroots community empowerment to tackle the stark financial inequalities facing Black women across the UK.

BEO are seeking experienced, credible delivery partners for this paid partnership work. They are particularly interested in organisations.

  • Have existing trusted relationships with young Black women (18-30)
  • Can evidence previous delivery, safeguarding readiness, and responsible programme management
  • Are based or actively working across London, Scotland, Manchester, and Birmingham.

Delivery partners will support the programme by :

  • Running financial literacy sessions
  • Recruiting young Black women for training and research
  • Hosting focus groups and research participation sessions
  • Supporting local dissemination of findings within their communities
  • Creating safe and welcoming spaces for Black women to discuss financial challenges and opportunities

This work will be about delivering training, but more transformational as its about generating insight and holding institutions and corporates to account on disparities affecting Black women.

Organisations interested in this programme can contact via info@blackequityorg.com by Friday 23rd January including a brief summary (no more than one page) of relevant experience.
