Black Film Club: Milestones: Streets paved with Gold – Wednesday 22 April 2026, 7pm

A powerful new film honouring the Windrush generation and the Caribbean migration experience in Britain. Adapted from Victor Richards’ acclaimed one-man play, this 60-minute cinematic journey follows Augustus Cleveland Johnson from his 1948 arrival in England through decades of resilience, family, culture, and identity.
There is a special appearance by musician, composer and artist Ciyo Brown who will perform before the screening.
After the screening, there will be a discussion with the filmmaker, Victor Richards, where audiences can ask questions and reflect on the film.
