The Washing Line production at Chickenshed Theatre
On Wednesday 26th March a group of fifteen ECA members were treated to free tickets for the production of The Washing Line production at Chickenshed theatre in Cockfosters.
Chickenshed takes audiences on a gripping, thought-provoking journey into the world of cults with The Washing Line, a bold production exploring the story of Jim Jones and The Peoples Temple.
The production handled difficult content brilliantly. The acting choreography and singing were outstanding. The cast were brilliant they gave 100%. This was a powerful piece of theatre with a cast of possibly 80 young people.
Ian Phillips, ECA trustee, “The way they told the story although a horrifying tale they used music, singing and drama. They told the story authentically.”
Oveta Mcinnis, ECA Chair, “This was a powerful production which told the story very well. The cast were amazing giving 100% from the beginning to the end. The set captured the tropica atmosphere very well. A memorable production, one of the best I’ve seen this year!”
